Teruteru Bozu is Japanese for "twinkle twinkle monk." In Japanese culture, the doll is used as a good luck charm that wards off rainstorms and brings out sunshine. Join us as we learn about the origins of this mysterious rain doll and make a Teru Teru Bozu of our own!

Have you ever heard about Tinikling? Halo-Halo? Balut? Parol (the decoration)? Even if you have never experienced the above, have no fear! We will be giving you little snitbits of Filipino culture! Of course, we will never make you do anything you do not want to do, but we highly encourage students that come to our class to actively participate with us. After we teach you the history and art of dancing Tinikling, you will be able to bring a souvenir home! Sign up for the class to find out what it is! ;)

X351: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Chess

In this course, the beginners will learn the basics of chess from learning the pieces to basic strategies of the game. However, the more experienced players will be allowed to play against each other and teach each other strategies. There is a bonus: we will learn a modified form of chess called bughouse.
